Who we are
Our team
CA DRIVE is comprised of many current and former law enforcement officers. Currently, it is being run by Jacob Mele, Tom Ip and Bob Apodaca. All three are currently employed within the county of Los Angeles for different agencies, and work as traffic investigators. Together, they have handled thousands of crashes, worked on and solved hundreds of fatal car accidents and provided countless hours of expert testimony in court. While they don't consider themselves the "know-it-alls" in a field that is constantly moving forward, if they don't know the answer they can will be able to find someone who does.
Our history
CA DRIVE started in early 2023 when the founders realized there was no good networking organization in the Los Angeles area for traffic investigators. One by one they reached out to all the different Law Enforcement Agencies within the county and invited them to join.
Our mission
Our goal is to bring officers together to network, and to bring the best training available to their fingertips. We strongly believe that the best cops in the nation work right here in Southern California! We want to make sure they are equipped with the best tools to accomplish their jobs and to keep us safe.
